I was in Utah 20 odd years ago and visited Park City with my brother. We were hard core skiers and came for the mountain, before the festival existed.I had just purchased a pair of ladies ski's at a cheap price and had to adjust the bindings myself because the ski shop's insurance would not allow them to touch something as archaic and dangerous as my ski bindings. In my own defense I was to stupid to realize they were ladies ski's until... I was told, hence the great price. We soon discovered lift tickets were outside our budget, $42.00 large as I recall.
We skied other mountains, taller mountains for 1/8 of the cost.We chose not the privilege to ski beyond our financial means and felt the eyes of the rich on our disappointed bodies as we sulked away to another mountain.
It mystifies me how an independent affords the film making and then factor the trip? My kudo's to all of you for the effort, this is not small money, this is the kind that is used to win elections...err. OK, try's to win elections. The trip itself is a triumph. Thanks for the effort and by God if you don't take home first you at least arrived and this is no small feat! I could not even enter the town, before it was famous, ok really famous. JWW
